Micro Lawyers is a legal practice platform being built for advocates and law firms — the daily diary, court filings, counters between lawyers, case files, clients and billing, held together in one place instead of a phone full of separate apps.
It is being designed with a practising advocate, in English and Malayalam.
A filing does not stop with your own side. The counter comes back from the opposing advocate, and keeping track of what was filed, what came back and what is still owed is the part that goes wrong on paper. That is the first feature being built, and it covers both case types.

IA and CMP are used here as a practising advocate confirmed them to us, not as we assumed them. The rest of the build is being checked the same way, feature by feature.

The day in front of you — cause list, hearing schedule and the case files attached to each entry, rather than a diary in one place and the papers in another.
Which matters are running now, in which court and before whom — so you are not guessing whether to leave for the courthouse.
The client talks and the conversation is recorded, instead of being typed into a form. The platform is being built to turn that recording into a first case summary for the advocate to correct — a starting draft, never a finished one.
One file per matter — parties, witnesses, evidence, hearing notes, orders, payments and the full timeline from first consultation to judgment, with the documents stored against it.
Search across your own past matters and similar cases by subject — civil, criminal, family, consumer, MACT and labour. Any published work that goes in will be licensed first, or it will not go in.
A public profile carrying your qualification, experience, specialisation and languages, and one appointment book covering walk-in, phone, WhatsApp and video consultations.
What each client owes, invoices and receipts against the matter, and reminders for hearings, appointments, documents and payments going out by WhatsApp, SMS or email before the date, not after it.
Several advocates and their staff under one firm, work split by department — civil, criminal, family, consumer, MACT, labour, corporate — with cases allocated and the firm's own view of who is carrying what.
An advocate in Kerala already works across these. Micro Lawyers has to sit alongside them and be useful, not ask anyone to abandon them.
